On November 26, Just Housing's Rachel Wagner shared some perspective in a Twin Ports Climate Conversation, a program of the Minnesota Sea Grant. She discusses resilient housing in a changing climate, and what is needed to enable and accelerate widespread adoption of equitable, sustainable housing solutions in the Upper Midwest.
The development of "green" housing powered by clean energy is a recognized solution for our time: energy efficient, fossil-fuel-free, and resilient. The barriers to widespread adoption of green housing practices are not technological. They are largely social and economic; including the persistent lack of access to affordable and reliable information, design and construction services, training and opportunity.
You can watch the one hour webinar here. Rachel's presentation begins at the 5 minute mark, and goes for about 33 minutes, followed by Q and A.
